Richard Attieh is the Founder and an Executive Producer at the Australian Television and Media Group, and a multi-award winning television and documentary producer.
His career began in the 1990s at Channel 10 and SBS in Sydney, Australia, and Richard has been actively involved in the media sector ever since – producing his first factual television program for Channel 7 in 2000.
Richard has produced ratings winning television programs for Channel 9 and Channel 7, as well as programs for Channel 10, SBS, Foxtel and WIN TV in Australia. He also production managed programs for ITV 2 and Sky TV in the United Kingdom and worked in interactive and streaming television in their formative years.
Richard has hundreds of hours of television broadcast credits and documentaries to his name. He as recently advised on an ABC TV and iView series, and has placed feature documentaries with Paramount+, Stan, 10Play and the Nine Network.
Richard is also the founder and an executive of the Media Arts Foundation – a not-for-profit media charity which exists to advance Australian culture through media and the arts, and provided training and mentorship to emerging talent.
Amongst other projects, Richard is the Executive Producer of Helping Hands – a weekly half hour program broadcast across the Nine Network, and facilities the production of documentaries and factual programs for local and international distribution.
The programs Richard has produced and directed have sold around the world, been translated and subtitled into numerous languages, and have won a number of domestic and international awards.
Richard has accepted an invitation to host a number of Roundtables and Pitching Sessions, and provide One-on-One mentoring for emerging producers at the annual conference for Screen Producers Australia.
Richard is an Executive Producer at the Australian Television and Media Group.
Over the past 12 months, he has delivered a six-part historical series filmed in the Middle East, a political documentary featuring prominent Australian politicians and media personalities, produced over 30 hours of brand-funded television programming, and is consulting on three independent documentaries and series currently in production.
He is also producing a brand-funded Christmas-themed television program and social media series, and an historical biographical documentary.
Richard has over 20 years of television and production experience in Australia and the UK. He is passionate about telling Australian stories for local and international audiences and is always looking for new and innovative ways to find new audiences on alternate screens.
